Today I finished an anime series called Karin/Chibi Vampire. Its a romantic comedy about an "unvampire" that falls in love with a human and vice-versa. You see the girl whose name is Karin comes from a vampire family but instead of being a traditional vampire she actually produces blood and instead of sucking blood, she injects blood into her "victims."These vampire also have specific tastes, Karin likes people who have unhapiness and when she bites someone she drains their unhapiness (people don't die from the vampire "attacks") Due to her sister allowing him to find out, Kenta finds out about Karin's secret. The story goes on and the two slowly start falling in love (seriously SLOWLY I wanted to strangle them) At the end of the series a vampire hunter appears by the name of Victor. He tries to kill Karin's family while they are completing a ritual that will make Karin into a "full fledged vampire" When Karin has a sudden bloodlust and goes after Victor, Kenta comes and tells Karin to bite him instead. She does and Victor watches on in horror. Karin finishes and Kenta falls to the ground motionless. Victor goes on and on about how vampires and humans can't live together and how what she did has destroyed Kenta. Kenta soon awakens and tells Victor that he loves Karin no matter what she is. Victor is then defeated by an unexpected attack. The point in this is that Kenta had an unconditional love for Karin, even though they weren't the same "species" and that they were told constantly should have had no chance. It was a great anime. My song quote is the credits song, its in Japanese but I will put the Japanese lyrics and the English translation. Its a beautiful song and always reminds me of the series.
