One of my favorite TV show's theme song just happens to be one of my favorite band's song. The TV show which I speak of is called Malcolm in the Middle basically the life of a teenager that is the 3rd out of 4 children (eventually 5). His family is the most dysfunctional out family there ever could be. His dad often has crazy fantasies including winning shoes with springs from one of those packet things that you have to sell stuff. (like cookies) His mother (Lois) often explodes on the children and gives them insanely cruel punishment. His younger brother Dewey rarely does things to his brothers but he is often the target of their pranks (he has a compiled record of every bad thing they have done to him) Malcolm's 2nd oldest brother is Reese who is about as dumb as a plank of wood, but is mean and basically tortures Malcolm and Dewey. (often though Malcolm gets his revenge and just as often Lois punishes both of them) The oldest brother is named Francis and is adored by his younger brothers because he had been the worst out of all of them, and so was sent to military school. There are many great episodes such as one where on Lois' birthday a clown calls her wide load at a batting cage and the whole family goes toe to toe with a bunch of clowns. Another great episode is when someone in the family goes to court and Lois goes insane with making pig-like creations out of bleach jugs. Or when the family goes to a casino and Malcolm's dad (Hal) loses a lot of money so him, Malcolm, and Reese end up in the desert running from the casino security just to find out they have entered a military artillery range. A true favorite for fireworks lovers would be when Malcolm's family goes out to the ranch where Francis works. While there Francis, Malcolm, and Reese decide to go shoot fireworks at night. Well the grand finale of the fireworks show was the "Komodo 3000" which literally (seriously the place lit up!) turned the night to day for a full 5 seconds. The brothers stand there for a minute and one says "when does our vision come back?" another replies "the label said 3 days" after which they all begin to stumble around blindly. However my favorite line comes from an episode where Reese joins the Army underage and gets sent to Afghanistan. Lois goes to the recruiting center and gets intel on where he is. As she comes into the house and announces her plans to the family there Malcolm turns to look at the camera and says "I'm not sure if shes afraid that he could be killed or that someone else is going to do it." What motherly love.
